About Us
Wild Canary Farm is a first generation diversified farm focused on pastured livestock - heritage beef, lamb, pork and rabbit. We also grow over 200 varieties of field grown seasonal cut flowers for market. Over a decade ago, inspired by a growing dissent with industrial food and a desperate need for more than just career, we abandoned the city for a small valley farm and acquired a small herd of unique miniature beef cattle. 12 years later we now steward 60 acres of exceptional riverfront grassland in the Snoqualmie Valley. We farm an additional 60 acres for forage within ½ mile of the barns and the commute downtown is long gone. Our products are sold direct to consumer, at farmers markets, to restaurants and through wholesale distribution always, with attention to shared values focused on ethics, quality and local community.
At Wild Canary Farm we are passionate about quality and long-term sustainability. We practice a regenerative model based on the rotational synergy of animals, pasture and crops. For the last 10 years we have maintained A Greener World certifications for animal welfare and grass-fed practices. Our farm is audited annually. We farm organically never using supplements, toxic chemicals or hormones. We imagine a net zero footprint capable of a multi-generational place in our community. We remain romantics and we’re continually inspired by the growing commitment to a new paradigm for a diverse, local agriculture.
