Mama Bird is a little produce farm nested in the center of San Juan Island. Lars and Mara started Mama Bird Farm in 2012; second generation farmers motivated by their love of land, growing food, and desire to move away from the industrial food system, towards a healthier sustainable farming practice. We specialize in growing heirloom tomatoes that burst with real flavor and rich color. As well as a diverse and delicious baby greens mix including lettuces and mustards of rich greens and deep purples to satisfy your belly and decorate your plate!

We strive for growing and delivering the freshest produce we can, usually harvested and delivered all in the same day! Our farm is surrounded by trees allowing a natural habitat and ecosystem to flourish along with our little 6 acre plot of delicious produce!We use all organic practices however are not certified. We don't use any artificial fertilizers, pesticides, GMO seeds etc. Our tomatoes get their heat from the sun captured in 6 large hoop houses, they are vine ripened and picked ready, so the flavor is great. We build our own compost, grow strong cover crops to enrich the soil with nutrients and water from our well. We believe in cultivating nourishment within our soil, produce, community and ourselves!
